How the connection works
What Rankdesk does inside Payload CMS
Push based into a Payload collection with an API key, using your own field names.
What you need first
- A reachable Payload address
- An API key on a user with write access
- A collection for blog posts
Good to know
- A Lexical or Slate rich text field stores JSON, so the body field has to be a text, textarea or code field.
- Your front end still decides when a document becomes a public page.
Field mapping to Payload CMS
| Rankdesk | Payload CMS |
|---|---|
| Body | Markdown or HTML in a text field |
| Featured image | Uploaded to your media collection and linked |
| Status | Published document or draft, your choice |
